Dreamfest 2012

January 13 - February 11, 2012

Every January the life, work and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King is celebrated with inspirational events known as Dreamfest.   MLK, Jr. Dreamfest 2012 is a series of events as a means to educate and inspire individuals to build a welcoming community that works together with cooperation and respect all year long. MLK, Jr. Dreamfest Memorial Concert: "A Tribute to Martin" 

January 14, 4 p.m. at the Cary Arts Center

Enjoy an evening of inspiring music with the Triangle Youth Jazz Ensemble (TYJE) and The Raleigh LDS Stake Choir and Soloists.

MLK, Jr. Dreamfest Day of Service 

Monday, January 16, 10 a.m.Noon and 2-4 p.m. at Middle Creek Community Center

The
MLK Day of Service is a national campaign urging citizens to give back to their community on the King holiday. In 2012 volunteers will spread mulch on the playing fields, disc golf course and open space at Middle Creek Community Center.

MLK, Jr. Dreamfest Dream of Democracy March 

Monday, January 16, 10 a.m. in Downtown Raleigh

Join other Triangle residents at the 31st Annual
MLK, Jr. Commemorative March in downtown Raleigh. Transportation will be provided from Cary Town Hall.
