Everybody Knows Old Dry Frye

Come on out for the play Everybody Knows Old Dry Frye this Friday Saturday and Sunday at the Cary Arts Center in Cary. The play was written by Larry and Vivien Snipes and is based on the book, by Paul Brett Johnson.  As the story goes, Preacher Man Old Dry Frye loves to visit various families in his town of Troublesome Creek - conveniently, at suppertime.  Everyone avoids sharing food with him, as Preacher Frye has a huge appetite.  One Sunday, while visiting a family over supper he accidentally chokes on a chicken bone and keels over!  This sets off a hilarious series of events as the whole town tries to pass his body around like a hot potato.  Preacher Frye's ghost returns to haunt his congregation, teaching them a thing or two about being greedy.
